XR-Marinertm
fabric. Made in the US (No imports here.) XR-Mariner utilizes Duponttm
Elvaloy®
(http://www.xrmariner.com/),
a polymer recognized for it's long term weathering
properties putting it on par with Hypalon. Developed
exclusively for the rib market in lighter weight fabrics,
the 40oz we use is very tough and extremely puncture
resistant.
To build fenders like they're an
inflatable boat with multi-layer lapped joints makes
them very expensive. Our simple design, although not
applicable for boats, works great for fenders and keeps the
price way down. Now you get a top notch material at an
affordable fender price.
The
new Elvaloy Fenders compare well to our Heavy Duty fenders
in performance for abrasion and puncture resistance.
Available only in black, they're lighter in weight then the
original heavy duty and have a harder, smoother finish.
The
new Elvaloy Fenders allow us to expand our Heavy Duty
Fenders beyond the 12" diameter limit of the originals.
In addition, any of the original heavy duty sizes are
available in Elvaloy for the same price. When ordering,
